Kohl: a Journal for Body and Gender Research invites submissions for its sixth issue slated for publication in December 2017. Young activists, independent researchers, graduate students and fresh graduates are particularly encouraged to apply. Submissions from seminal contributors in the field are also welcome.
For this issue, Kohl is looking for research papers, opinion pieces, essays, testimonies, literary texts, and art pieces centered in feminist, queer, and intersectionality theories that elaborate on the politics of sex, sexual practices, intimate connections, and desire/desirability. Kohl is interested in understanding sex, bodies, and politics beyond the NGOized rights-based approach, and in looking at the ways in which non-normative practices that are not complicit with macro and micro-structures of oppression challenge the hegemonic neoliberal and patriarchal order.
To submit a paper, please send your blinded piece to email@example.com as a .doc or .docx file, with “Submission Issue 6” as the subject of your e-mail.
