The Legal Agenda, in collaboration with Heinrich Boell Foundation – Middle East Office organized a seminar entitled:

"Where did the judiciary succeed in safeguarding and consecrating basic rights and public freedoms in 2011?"

The seminar took place in the “Université pour Tous” building.

The ‘Legal Agenda’ conducted an annual review of the most important judicial decisions that took place in 2011. The focus of this review was court verdicts that have recognized or safeguarded any citizen's basic right or any public freedom. In this roundtable, the Legal Agenda team and other invitees involved in the judicial arena, presented and subjected these verdicts to public debate.

Note that the Legal Agenda will, at a later stage, publish commentary pieces on these verdicts in a special edition of the Legal Agenda Magazine.
