A playwright and cultural activist, who works with several organisations as a trainer in areas related to the field of culture, Abdullah is also regular participant at conferences and forums on culture and art, and a founding member and Executive Director of Ettijahat-Independent Culture. Abdullah contributes to international and regional conferences and forums as a researcher and a facilitator; his main interest lies in investigating the pivotal role that art and culture can play during times of crises. He is also interested in exploring different ways to support artists in overcoming the challenge of censorship. He graduated in Theatrical Studies from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts, Damascus, 2004 and completed his Master’s at Saint Joseph University, Beirut in 2015, also in Theatrical Studies. He is currently a PhD Student at Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon.
