Hoda El Khatib Chalak

Hoda El Khatib Chalak is an Attorney at Law and an Instructor of Law at Saint Joseph University, Lebanon, where she teaches Human Rights and Citizenship, Criminology, and Administrative Law. She is currently the President of the Organisation for Civil Activities and co-founder and coordinator for the Forum of Arab Civil Society Strategies. Hoda was Vice President of the Lebanese Organization for Human Rights from 1998 to 2001. Her research interests include democracy, civil society, transitional justice, citizenship and human rights. In addition, she is the co-author of the ‘Best Practices Manual on Democracy Education’, and of the ‘Curriculum University of the Arab Civil Society’. She holds a Masters degree in Law from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon, where she also did her undergraduate studies.
