Bada’el Issue on “Health, Epidemics and Climate Change”

Bada’el is a Lebanese environmental magazine published by the Lebanese Association Ecologia. With the support of the Heinrich Boell Foundation, an issue of Badae’l for 2010 on “Health, Epidemics and Climate Change” will be released in December 2010. This issue stresses on the way climate change is affecting health and the rise in epidemics. It focuses on the impacts of changes in temperatures, precipitation and humidity levels caused by climate change on the outbreak and dissemination of infectious and parasitic diseases. The issue also includes examples of diseases and epidemics linked to weather conditions. The last section focuses on alternative practices and technologies that may overcome the impact of climate change on health of all living species.
